FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ontario, Canada - Today, the Ontario High School Conservative Association is officially rebranding itself to the Canadian Conservative Youth Association, now known and recognized as the CCYA.

This rebranding represents an exciting new chapter for our organization as we expand our reach and mission beyond the borders of Ontario.

It occurred for two main reasons: Nationwide, the conservative movement is strong and alive, and with this many youth find themselves wondering where they can be represented effectively and have their voices heard, and our organization serves the purpose of getting more youth involved. Previously our membership and organization’s focus was mainly in Ontario, but now we are proud to say we will be putting a higher focus on a national level. Secondly, we find many young professionals and adults are wanting to join our organization, yet before it was closed to only high school students, but today we are happy to announce ages 14-25 can join our organization.

The decision to rebrand to the Canadian Conservative Youth Association reflects our commitment to fostering conservative values and principles among the youth across the entire country. By broadening our scope, we aim to provide a platform that empowers young conservatives from all provinces and territories to engage, connect, and collaborate in shaping the future of Canada, and becoming the leaders of tomorrow.

To coincide with our rebranding, the CCYA will rebrand its social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn handles being changed to @cdnyouthcons, as well as the branding of respective social media platforms.

Along with the rebrand, CCYA will be changing its domain to www.ccya.ca effective immediately, but the www.ontariohsconservatives.org will still route to the same website until January 2024.

CCYA is hosting an in-person event in August to mark this turning point in CCYA history. OHSCA started as an Ontario-only organization for high school students that only operated online. It has now turned into a hybrid organization that functions nationwide and is accessible to all conservatives. We hope to see you at the event and please stay tuned an update in regards to event, which will come in the near future.

Furthermore, a lot of new content will be introduced with this re-brand of our organization. The OHSCA Analysis show and OHSCA Interviews show will merge into one collective CCYA Interviews show. We will be introducing CCYA: InTheHouse weekly edition where prominent Conservative Members of Parliament will be joining us on a weekly basis to talk about what the CPC Caucus team has been doing in the week of, and the House’s activities while the House of Commons is sitting.

All content creation will resume this Sunday as per normal schedules, you can check out our content here.

We invite all young conservatives across Canada to join us on this journey as we work together to shape the future of our nation. Together, let us build a brighter future for Canada rooted in conservative values and the strength of our youth.
