OHSCA 2021-2022 Address

This year of 2022 has been one of continuous growth, optimism and hope for Conservatives. We here at OHSCA were proud to cover many different Conservative based events throughout 2022, providing the highest quality Conservative based content. Our group has been resilient throughout this past year, and did not let the ongoing world issues stop us from growing our movement and getting involved in politics as young Conservatives, we did so in many ways from covering the CPC Leadership Election, Ontario Provincial Election, OHSCA Interviews, launching OHSCA Analysis and many more.

This year, we are proud to say that we have doubled our reach on most platforms, providing content on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter & YouTube. We were able launch two different election coverage based websites and our new series, OHSCA Analysis. With OHSCA Interviews, we were able to sit down with many more politicians from the federal and provincial Conservative parties and establish connections with the national council. In addition, we launched OHSCA Analysis where we focused on one ongoing issue where we interviewed people like Melissa Lantsman, Jasraj Singh Hallan and Michelle Ferreri.

We launched OHSCA Ontario Provincial Election Coverage in May 2022 where we updated our followers with up to date polls, information about candidates and constant interviews with many MPPs and Candidates.

2022 has been a big year for Canadian conservatives with the stepping down of our previous party leader and the election of a new one. OHSCA covered this election right after the provincial election. OHSCA had the chance to interview Pierre Pollievre, the favoured candidate and winner. OHSCA was able to grow its interview base by doing so as that is our most viewed interview to this date. Our founder and former president, Vincenzo Calla, and Vice President of Membership and Media Relations, Evan Lecours were able to attend the event on September 10th, 2022, witnessing real time results and interviewing many prominent Conservatives.

With our founder, Vincenzo Calla stepping down at OHSCA’s 2nd anniversary as he moved onto University, our former Director of Internal Operations Vasu Bhardwaj, took over the role of President. Since then, OHSCA has only grown, and our hard working team is optimistic that 2023 will be a very successful year. Although it doesn’t feel like two years ago, in October of 2020 OHSCA was founded on nothing, but now we are one of the biggest High School student-led Conservative movements in the nation not affiliated with any party. The future is bright for OHSCA, we hope you can join us as we continue to grow and engage young Conservatives in Ontario.
